Već neko vreme se nagađa o povratku Hewlett-Packard-a na tržište pametnih telefona, a taj događaj bi mogao sada biti bliži stvarnosti nego ikad. Kako objavljuje portal The Information, HP se sprema na lansiranje dva mala tableta sa ugrađenom podrškom za 3G. Ovi phableti bi trebali da dolaze sa dijagonalama ekrana od 6 i 7 inča, a bili bi namenjeni tržištima u razvoju poput Indije i Kine.
Ova tržišta su u razdoblju velikog rasta, a na njima prednjače upravo jeftiniji tableti i pametni telefoni, pa se smatra da bi ovaj potez mogao biti vrlo dobar za HP. Smatra se da će novi phableti biti zasnovani na Android-u i da će im cena biti ispod 250 USD, bez subvencija operatera.
